ABOUT HIRE

The HIRE Center combines policy-oriented research on the knowledge, skills, and supports individuals and communities need to succeed with practical assistance in research and evaluation of existing public and private programs. HIRE Center Personnel consist of a small central core of principal staff and research associates as well as university faculty and outside consultants and associates. This structure provides the HIRE Center with a flexible set of skills around which projects can be structured.

The HIRE Center’s applied public policy research is timely, objective, and useable. Analysts draw upon a variety of disciplines and methods to examine public problems, understand issues, and provide reasonable options for positive change. Our comprehensive evaluation background offers expertise in a variety of research methods and analytic techniques to provide clients with a thorough assessment and meaningful insights into current programs or projects.

The HIRE Center also serves as a bridge between the university and the community and actively works to create meaningful partnerships with government agencies, businesses, nonprofit groups, educational institutions, and others in the community. It provides technical assistance and neighborhood capacity building through community partnerships. We provide services to clients in both the public and private sectors in the following areas:
